ABOUT MONARK SPORTS & MEDICAL
The Monark brand was founded over a century ago then we developed bicycles and in 1954 the first ergometer was produced with the unique Monark calibration method, the same unique system is still being used in our products today.
Through the years, Monark Exercise established itself as one of the leading manufacturers of ergometers for testing and training. Among our users we find anyone from Olympic medallists to rehabilitation patients around the world, our products are retailed in over 70 countries worldwide.
1954 the first pendulum ergometer was developed in Sweden. The genius but simple mechanical solution that was invented is still being used on Monark products today and provides incomparable control and accuracy. This model has since then, been the norm for measuring on bike and research in physiology throughout the world
QUALITY
We have been manufactoring bicycles in Vansbro, since the beginning of 1900s. We take pride in the production of our bikes and ergometers.
Our factory is ISO certified since 1997 and our Sports & Medical products approved as Medical Device since 2010. Read more under Quality.
A TRUE SWEDISH PRODUCT
We can really stand behind when we say made in Sweden. We develop, anti corrosion treats and paint the frame in-house as well as assemble the bike in our factory in Vansbro.

It all started with Monark in Varberg 1908 and Kroon in Vansbro 1910. In the 70s Monark bought the Kroon factory and it became a part of Monark. 1995 Monark moved the production of bicyle ergometers to Vansbro and 1996 Monark Exercise AB was founded, today we are a part of Cycleurope, owned by Grimaldi Industries.
