939 Upright
Advanced diagnostic ergometer
The Monark 939 is the most advanced diagnostic model in Monark’s Upright Series.
It is developed for clinical environments where controlled workload, traceable data and repeatable results are essential. The EPS system provides precise workload control and supports both constant power and constant force.
With RS232, USB-B, BLE and ANT+, the 939 can be integrated into diagnostic workflows with CPET and ECG systems. Low step-through access, a stable frame and wide adjustability support safe access and consistent positioning over time.
The Monark 939 is developed for clinical diagnostics and advanced testing.
The model is built around Monark’s Electronic Pendulum System, EPS. The system provides controlled workload and makes it possible to work with both constant power and constant force.
Workload can be controlled electronically and verified through Monark’s mechanical calibration principle. This is especially important in diagnostic environments where test results need to be compared over time.
The Novo Duo display gives clear access to test data throughout the test. It shows RPM, time, speed, distance, watt, kp and heart rate when an ANT+ chest belt is used.
The upright frame with low step-through access and wide adjustability makes it easier to position the user consistently. This supports standardized test conditions in clinical environments.

The Monark 939 is developed for diagnostic workflows where controlled workload, traceability and repeatability are central.
- ECG diagnostics: For stress testing with controlled and traceable workload.
- CPET diagnostics: For clinical testing together with metabolic measurement systems.
- Follow-up over time: For repeated tests where verifiable calibration and comparable results are important.
- Occupational medicine: For calibrated workload in clinical assessments related to work capacity.
- Fitness assessment: For established test protocols such as Åstrand, YMCA and Ekblom-Bak through Monark Software.
- Clinical test environments: For standardized testing where user position, workload and documentation need to remain consistent over time.
The Monark 939 is built for diagnostic environments where stable control and traceable data are important.
RS232 and USB-B provide direct wired connection to external systems. BLE and ANT+ provide wireless communication with compatible platforms.
The ergometer can be used standalone or integrated side by side with CPET and ECG systems. It displays RPM, time, speed, distance, watt, kp and heart rate in the Novo Duo display.
The 939 is the right choice when the workflow requires controlled workload, clear documentation and high repeatability over time.
